Humane has officially launched the Ai Pin, a $699 wearable camera with a $24 monthly subscription for cellular connectivity and services. The device boasts a 13MP ultra-wide camera, 3D depth sensor, and various sensors like ambient light, accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, and GPS. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, it features 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, and connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and LTE via eSIM. The Ai Pin includes a “Laser Ink Display” for navigation, a unique messaging system, health tracking, and translation capabilities. It lacks traditional apps but offers AI experiences from companies like OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, Slack, and Tidal. Orders begin on November 16, with shipping expected in early 2024.
