Only one USB-C port will charge my MacBook Pro?

I recently had an incident where I plugged in the charger to my macbook pro’s usb-c port and it wouldn’t charge. I plugged it in right side of my mac and it wouldn’t charge, but if I plugged it in to the left side closest to the screen it began charging.

According to Apple, the SMC – System Management Controller decides when to apply charge.

What is the reason for that? No idea why, I searched everywhere on Google and found no answer. So if you can’t figure out which usb-c port, try the left side closest to the screen.
