Google just dropped major AI updates at this year’s 2026 I/O event — and Gemini is getting a big upgrade.
First up: Daily Brief — a personalized AI dashboard that pulls together your emails, calendar events, and tasks, then prioritizes what matters most and suggests your next steps.
Google also introduced Gemini 3.5 Flash, a faster, lighter AI model that CEO Sundar Pichai says delivers top-level performance at a lower cost.
Then there’s Gemini Spark — a personal AI agent designed to take actions for you across connected apps, while staying under your control.
And finally: Omni. Google’s new AI world model can edit videos, generate realistic scenes, and even change actions inside a video with simple prompts.
Google’s AI race with OpenAI and Anthropic is heating up — and Gemini is becoming much more than just a chatbot.

That Daily Brief sounds really useful for staying on top of things. It’s interesting to see Google continuing to evolve Gemini’s capabilities.
