2022 Google IO RECAP

Google had their annual Google IO conference where they announce their latest software and hardware.

Google announced their Android 13 update which includes an impressive search feature on Google Maps. Google Search will introduce an expansion of its recently launched multisearch feature that incorporates location. The new scene exploration tool is coming to Google Search. Google Assistant will allow you to interact with the assistant without having to say, “Hey Google.”

The Pixel 6a, Google’s budget phone will still cost $449, and the Pixel 6 will feature the Tensor chip.

Google announced the Pixel Buds Pro that will feature an active noise cancellation. They’ll cost $199.

Google announced their first smartwatch, Google Pixel Watch. It will run Wear OS and incorporate FitBit features like sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring and other exercise tracking capabilities. You’ll be able to control smart home devices from your wrist, too.

Google gave a quick sneak peak of the Pixel 7. The horizontal camera bar remains, but the lenses look a lot different on the model coming this fall.

Google wrapped up its I/O presentation with one big surprise: a look at its latest AR glasses. The key feature Google showed off was the ability to see languages translated right in front of your eyes.
